Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd. is actively seeking an Operations Manager for a Royston-based client. You will lead equipment installations, maintenance and performance across customer sites in the UK and internationally, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation.

The role requires strong technical oversight, excellent organisational and project management skills, and a willingness to travel across UK sites. Hours are 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for customer site

Qualifications

• Experience in operations management or a similar technical role.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Good communication with customers and internal teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage reactive and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability
• Oversee equipment installations and deployments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Ensure equipment is maintained to the required operational and safety standards
• Identify and implement equipment improvements through change management processes
• Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide technical training to customers, partners and technicians
• Investigate equipment failures, carry out root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Supervise technicians working on customer sites
• Work with internal teams to coordinate equipment requirements and new deployments
