Job summary

Aviva in the United Kingdom is seeking a Loss Adjuster for the South London region. The role involves visiting domestic and commercial customers, gathering evidence, assessing liability, and developing detailed work scopes to deliver the best outcomes for claims.

You will manage settlements, draw floorplans, and record evidence while coordinating suppliers and reserves. The position requires flexibility, travel across regions, and occasional evenings or weekends to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Experience handling property insurance claims and loss adjusting in a regulated environment.
• Experience with property inspections, virtual assessments, and scoping systems (Cotality and/or Xactimate) advantageous.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with evidence assessment.
• Excellent empathy and communication to manage client relations.
• Knowledge of Flood, Escape of Water, and Fire damage and related health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Visit domestic and commercial property claims customers to assess liability.
• Draw up work scopes, validate claims against policy cover, and agree settlements.
• Record evidence, appoint suppliers, and create initial reserves using claims software.
• Travel across the UK and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
