Job summary

Aviva Loss Adjuster – Birmingham is seeking a customer-focused professional to visit domestic and commercial property claims, assess liability, and build work scopes to help deliver the best outcomes for customers. You will record evidence, appoint suppliers, and determine the best management route for claims, with potential UK travel and flexible hours.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to make fair, risk-based decisions while complying with health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience handling property insurance claims in a regulated environment.
• Experience with property inspections and scoping systems such as Cotality and/or Xactimate.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to assess evidence and reach fair conclusions.
• Exceptional empathy and communication skills for gathering evidence and delivering news with sensitivity.
• Knowledge of Flood, Escape of Water (EOW), Fire damage management, plus health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Visit domestic & commercial property claims customers to assess liability and build work scopes.
• Record evidence, appoint suppliers, and make liability decisions.
• Create initial reserves using claims scoping software and determine the best management route for the claim.
• Travel across the UK with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
