Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Primary Care IT Technician to deliver ICT services across 35 GP practices and 5 PCN sites. The role involves installing, configuring and maintaining end user equipment, providing technical advice and resolving hardware/software issues to minimise downtime.

The post holder will work across remote and field locations, including travel to multiple sites, and support an IT Tier 1 team while collaborating with Tier 3 colleagues

Qualifications

• Provide effective IT support and technical advice on desktop, laptop and peripheral technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain end user equipment, systems and software across 35 GP practices and 5 PCN sites.
• Support Tier 1 IT colleagues and collaborate with Tier 3 and partner organisations.
• Travel to GP sites and PCN locations to deploy and support ICT equipment and services.
• Operate within core hours (7:30–18:00) and participate in an IT technician rota.
• Ensure security standards and SOPs are followed across networked devices and endpoints.
