Job summary

Coconut Lime Ltd. is seeking a Field Technician - IT to cover Exeter, Plymouth and Torquay across 19 primary schools. You will own day-to-day onsite IT issues and help shape longer-term infrastructure with the Strategic Manager.

You’ll join a central Helpdesk and technical team, with a planned rota, a company van and fuel card. Immediate start available and opportunities to lead IT projects in schools.

Qualifications

• 1st and 2nd line IT support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktops and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Understanding of networking, Wi‑Fi and general infrastructure.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to obtain/maintain a clean Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support across 19 primary schools.
• Work a planned rota across Exeter, Plymouth and Torquay while handling urgent incidents.
• Diagnose hardware, software, network, Wi-Fi, printing and account issues.
• Support Microsoft 365, Windows devices, accounts and school systems.
• Assist with device deployment, configuration and refreshes.
• Support networking, switches and onsite kit.
• Maintain clear records of work and recommendations.
• Identify recurring problems and opportunities to improve the estate.
• Scope and deliver IT projects with the Strategic Manager.
• Build strong relationships with Headteachers, SBMs and school staff.
