Job summary

Sanderson Recruitment Plc is seeking a Field Services Engineer to provide on-site IT hardware support for clients. You will travel across a geographic area, collect parts, and perform hardware and basic software fixes to a high standard.

The role is Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30, with out-of-hours standby and overtime paid in line with policy. Essential requirements include a valid UK driving licence with a car, BPSS check readiness, and a strong focus on customer service and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car for business use.
• Ability to work in the UK and be eligible for BPSS checks.
• Proven hardware fault diagnosis and basic software troubleshooting skills.
• Experience deploying PCs and understanding IT systems in field environments.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Attend incidents/requests courteously and with a customer focus.
• Monitor, update and progress assigned incidents in a timely manner.
• Provide training and guidance to junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate between clients and vendors to ensure timely resolutions.
• Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction in all tasks.
