Role

Do you have a civil service, MOD, or defence company background, SC clearance (or clearable), and experience in cabling or fibre testing?

As a field-based engineer, you’ll provide invaluable technical support and expertise in data communications. This role involves UK-wide travel, usually away from home Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary of around £35,000 (with flexibility for the right candidate).

You’ll be a key part of our team, bringing your defence background and technical skills to the forefront.

You’ll provide installation and commissioning engineering services for MOD/Gov systems, often at short notice.

You’ll support our business generation efforts and be a lead field representative, providing training to other engineers.

Responsibilities include:

1. Offering dedicated knowledge and skills in data communications, from simple e-mail applications to complex computer networks involving routers and switches.
2. Providing installation and commissioning engineering support for MoD/Gov systems, often with short notice requirements.
3. Lending technical support to business generation activities related to our products.
4. Supporting MoD systems with the build and test of new or repaired systems.
5. Leading as the field representative for installations, including training other engineers.
6. Assisting in product and services evaluation, aligned with our company strategy, based on departmental requirements.
7. Having a defence background, which could be civil service, MOD, army, or defence company experience.
