Job summary

Matthew James Group Ltd is recruiting a Technical Sales Executive to drive new business and develop existing customer accounts across the North East and North West regions with field-based travel to customer sites.

You will own the sales cycle from prospecting to order, partnering with technical and operational colleagues to propose robust solutions, negotiate terms and secure profitable orders while building lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• Relevant sector experience is highly advantageous in refrigeration, HVAC, industrial controls, gas detection, monitoring systems or technical services.
• Strong business development, negotiation and closing skills are essential.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and explain technical solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Win new business through proactive prospecting, networking and customer visits.
• Develop existing accounts and identify opportunities to increase sales.
• Understand customer challenges and present appropriate technical solutions.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate terms and secure orders.
• Manage sales pipeline and provide reliable forecasts.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure viable delivery of solutions.
• Build long-term relationships to generate repeat business.
