Job summary

Matthew James Group Ltd is seeking two experienced Technical Sales Executives for home-based field roles covering the North or South of the UK. You will identify opportunities, manage key accounts, and deliver measurable sales results with a strong technical background.

The role combines home working with customer visits, a competitive salary of £50,000–£60,000 plus commission, bonus, and a company car/allowance, plus growth within an established business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical sales or account management within engineering or industrial sectors.
• Track record of new business wins, revenue growth and meeting targets.
• Experience selling technical products to end-user customers.
• Strong technical understanding of products and applications.
• Experience in refrigeration, HVAC, cooling or energy management is advantageous.
• Experience selling into retail/manufacturing/industrial environments is beneficial.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working independently and travelling across the sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across markets.
• Build and manage relationships with decision-makers in engineering, technical, facilities and operational teams.
• Promote and sell a range of technical products and solutions with clear understanding of customer applications.
• Develop existing accounts to increase revenue, margins and market share.
• Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to quotations, negotiations and closing deals.
• Work toward revenue, gross profit and business development targets.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and a structured pipeline of opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to deliver solutions for customers.
