Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking a Field-Based On-Track Maintenance Train Day Maintainer (Mechanical/Electrical) to service specialist rail maintenance trains across Romford to Colchester. You will perform planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs with full training provided.

The role offers a £39,000–£43,000 base salary with overtime, a company van and fuel card, pension, health cash plan and structured progression. Permanent, full-time position with regular salary reviews.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Time-served apprenticeship or recognised Mechanical/Electrical/Maintenance Engineering qualification.
• Willingness to undertake rail competency training.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventive maintenance of rail maintenance trains.
• Daily and weekly maintenance activities on mobile machines.
• Fault finding and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist Field Service Engineers with complex repairs as needed.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with rail procedures.
