Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking On-Track Maintenance Train Day Maintainers—Mechanical / Electrical Engineers for a field-based role covering Northampton and the East Midlands. You will maintain specialist on-track maintenance trains, carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, inspections, fault finding and repairs on highly specialised railway equipment.

No prior rail experience is required; full structured training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in mechanical or electrical systems.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose faults on complex machinery.
• Willingness to travel and work field-based shifts across regions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on rail maintenance trains.
• Perform inspections, fault finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Support field service engineers with complex repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with depot/rail locations and manage on-site equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures and 5S standards are followed.
