Job summary

Pure Talent Group is recruiting for a field-based On-Track Maintenance Train Day Maintainer (Mechanical / Electrical) covering Glasgow to Edinburgh in Scotland. They offer a £39,000–£43,000 base salary with paid overtime, a company van and fuel card, pension, health cash plan and full technical training.

Experience in hands-on maintenance and fault-finding is valued. A full UK driving licence is required. The role is permanent, full-time and field-based with good long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Time-served apprenticeship or recognised Mechanical, Electrical or Maintenance Engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventive maintenance, servicing and inspections for On-Track Maintenance Trains.
• Fault finding and repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain and inspect track-maintenance equipment with 5S and safety procedures.
• Travel within geographic area to service trains; occasional longer travel may be required.
• Complete maintenance records and documentation; support other engineers as needed.
