Job summary

Pure Talent Group is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the Mobile Maintenance Train project, performing maintenance, inspections and fault finding on diesel-powered rail maintenance trains across the UK.

Training is fully funded with six months to competency; starting salary £43,000, rising to £48,500 after probation, then up to £53,000 when fully qualified. Benefits include a company van, fuel card and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering experience required.
• Good fault-finding ability essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to pass medical, DBS and drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Planned maintenance of Mobile Maintenance Train systems.
• Fault diagnosis and corrective repairs.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic repairs as needed.
• Diesel engine maintenance and mechanical drive systems.
