Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Resident Welfare Officer to support vulnerable individuals in East Lancashire. The role blends administrative, practical, and pastoral duties, focusing on safeguarding and service delivery while managing interim housing and move-on processes.

It is field-based with a 40-hour week and occasional OOH rota participation. You will build relationships with service users, coordinate appointments, and help secure appropriate accommodation, while working across the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, support or welfare services.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential for travel between properties).
• Strong safeguarding focus and ability to manage safeguarding concerns.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own diary and property portfolio.
• Carry out property inspections and raise work orders for repairs.
• Provide direct support to service users and assist with move-on processes.
• Maintain regular contact with service users via visits and calls, and encourage engagement with appointments.
