Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Coventry is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in our machinery and equipment sectors. The role combines field sales with strategic account development, requiring visits across the UK and strong technical appreciation.

You will report to the General Manager, manage a small team, and earn £50,000–£55,000 plus a 1% commission on all equipment sales per year. A company car or £450 per month allowance is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in B2B field sales, ideally within capital equipment, machine tools, specialist manufacturing or specialist engineering sectors.
• Comfortable balancing desk-based inquiry management with regular field sales visits.
• Knowledge or experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical manufacturing industries would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Proactively research, identify, and target new business opportunities across the UK with face-to-face client visits and demonstrations.
• Manage, qualify, and follow up on incoming sales inquiries from initial contact through to close.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate current finishing processes and pitch bespoke machinery and equipment solutions.
• Manage the full sales pipeline independently and maintain CRM records of leads, quotations, and forecasted deals.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and machinery specifications to meet margins and targets.
