Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure Limited is seeking a Fibre Field Technician to support the OFNL network with routine maintenance and incident response. The role involves field work, driving to sites, and collaboration with NOC and field engineers. A standby rota and out-of-hours work may be required.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with GPON/FTTH, hand tools, and relevant safety qualifications. Hybrid working is available for eligible roles.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• City & Guilds 3667-02 certification.
• NRSWA certificate.
• Safety underground certificate SA002.
• Experience with GPON/FTTH telecom environments.
• Use of an OTDR tester and ability to analyse results.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of telecoms equipment in the FTTP network.
• Support NOC and field engineering teams.
• participate in standby call-out rota and diagnose faults.
• Contribute to delivery of OFNL services and network integrity.
• Maintain OFNL network documentation and attend relevant training.
