FTTH Fibre Engineer — Field Install & Maintenance

Job summary

Comex-2000 is seeking highly skilled FTTH engineers to work on the Openreach network on a self-employed basis across residential and business settings. You will handle end-to-end telecom services installation and maintenance for Full Fibre networks, delivering practical, hands-on results.

The role requires current NRSWA SLG and PIA accreditations, with preference for those having overhead and underground PIA experience and additional certifications.

Qualifications

• NRSWA SLG and PIA accreditations are required and must be current.
• Experience with both overhead and underground PIA networks.
• Additional accreditations such as A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, K008 are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Network Build-outs: Install new telecom services by running overhead lines on poles and underground ducts.
• Customer installations: Visit homes or businesses to set up internal cabling.
• Network Maintenance: Work with live infrastructures, ducts and poles.
• Quality & Safety: Follow safety procedures, and restore sites to a safe condition.
• Reporting & Admin: Record work and keep information up to date in company systems.
