Job summary

Pine Media in Sheffield is seeking an experienced L2C engineer to join our Service Delivery team. You will own the install process from initial contact to final handover, communicating clearly and leaving homes with a professional impression.

Your role includes installing drops from CBT to CSP, running internal cabling to ONT, and testing at each stage. You’ll manage daily workload, follow Openreach labelling, and support the Fibre Network Delivery team when needed.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in a similar L2C fibre installation role.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• Valid NRSWA street works Operative Unit 2 card.
• SA001 Overhead Safety.
• S008 PIA Overhead Cable Installation (or equivalent).
• Physically fit for manual handling work.

Responsibilities

• Install overhead and underground drops from the CBT to an external CSP.
• Run internal cable from the CSP to the customer's chosen ONT location.
• Splice the drop to the internal cable inside the CSP, and test at each stage.
• Follow Openreach labelling requirements at entry and exit points, and photograph your work for job records.
• Manage your own daily workload, keep to appointment times, and flag issues early, before they become problems.
• Submit accurate, complete job reports.
• Look after your van and tools in line with our vehicle policy.
• From time to time, support our Fibre Network Delivery (FND) team with overhead cabling, CBT installs and new fibre in MDUs and across the outside plant network.
