Job summary

G.Network Communications is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to deliver safe, right-first-time full-fibre installations and restore customer services within the FTTP estate. You will handle installations, splicing, testing and fault resolution across residential and business sites, while maintaining records and ensuring compliance with RAMS and procedures.

The role emphasizes customer-focused service, technical leadership to peers, and ongoing capability development in adjacent specialisms.

Qualifications

Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months.
Strong knowledge of FTTP/FTTC products and fibre build activities.
Practical fibre-splicing, fusion-splicer, iOLM and OTDR experience.
Ability to read and interpret SLDs, construction drawings, survey packs and fibre maps.

Responsibilities

Interpret survey packs, SLDs, fibre plans, risk assessments, method statements and work instructions before starting work.
Install, terminate, splice, test, diagnose and repair fibre cables, systems and customer equipment within assessed competence.
Maintain accurate job, test, fault, asset and system-design records using company applications.
Carry out fibre surveys where required and provide clear technical feedback to planning and operational teams.
