Are you a compassionate, calm, and reliable individual looking to make a positive impact in the lives of others? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Who Will I Be Supporting?

You’ll be working in a lively, dynamic shared house supporting five incredible ladies in their 20s and 30s, all with learning disabilities, autism, and complex health needs. Each individual has their own unique personality, and you’ll be helping them live fulfilling and independent lives.

Here’s what makes them special:

  • Social Butterflies: Some love catching up with family and friends, enjoying cinema trips, and going on day trips.
  • Quiet Moments: Others prefer baking at home, watching movies, and engaging in arts and crafts.
  • Health Care Needs: Their health needs include blindness, scoliosis, diabetes (insulin administration), epilepsy (midazolam), and PEG feeding.

They’re fun, active, and love music, socializing, and being involved in what’s going on. You’ll join a team that ensures they feel safe, cared for, and supported every step of the way.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide a mix of one-to-one and shared support, helping these ladies achieve their goals and enjoy their daily lives. Your responsibilities include:

  • Personal Care: Provide dignified support with showers, pads, and general hygiene for four individuals.
  • Health Needs: Administer medication, including insulin and midazolam, and manage PEG feeding for one individual.
  • Mobility Assistance: Use manual handling techniques and support one wheelchair user with a hoist.
  • Activity Engagement: Accompany them on social outings, family visits, and fun activities like music sessions, cinema trips, and day trips.
  • Safe Environment: Understand and follow risk assessments, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.

This is a fast-paced and lively environment, so being proactive, calm under pressure, and organized is key.

Shift Patterns
  • Day Shifts: 7:30am – 3pm or 3pm – 11pm
  • Long Days: Flexible hours to provide consistent care
  • Sleep-Ins: 10pm – 7am (paid to sleep)

We’re looking for flexible individuals who are happy to work on a rota basis, including weekends.
