Job summary

Horizon Homecare in Poole is seeking a Community Care Assistant to provide person-centred home care, supporting with meals, medication, and daily tasks.

You will offer companionship, help with appointments and outings, and promote independence and wellbeing. Training is provided; weekend work is required; drivers with own car are preferred.

About The Role

Community Care Assistant – Make a Real Impact!

Key Information

• Pay Rate: £14 per hour
• Experience: No experience needed – full training + shadowing provided
• Hours: Flexible part-time or full-time shifts available
• Weekend Work: Weekend availability required (flexible rota)
• Mileage Options:
  • Mileage Rate: Higher hourly pay + claim mileage separately via HMRC
  • Non-Mileage Rate: Slightly lower pay + mileage paid through payroll
• Please note: Due to the personal care needs of our female clients, this role is open to female applicants only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 (Genuine Occupational Requirement).
