Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an experienced SENCO for a permanent role at a Further Education College in Buckinghamshire. You will lead the strategic and day-to-day SEND provision, ensuring learners with additional needs receive appropriate support and adjustments.

The role requires FE SEND leadership experience, a NASENCO or equivalent qualification, and strong collaboration with local authorities and curriculum teams to drive inclusive teaching and strong outcomes.

• Strong FE college SEND experience.
• 1
• Experience as SENCO or equivalent.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience working with local authorities and external agencies.
• Experience leading SEND/learning support teams.
• Understanding of inclusive teaching and reasonable adjustments.
• Experience using data to monitor learner outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• NASENCO qualification.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the FE College.
• Lead on EHCP consultations, annual reviews and placements.
• Collaborate with local authorities and external agencies.
• Support curriculum teams to enable inclusive teaching.
• Advise on reasonable adjustments and SEND legislation.
• Lead and develop the SEND/learning support team.
• Monitor learner support, progress and outcomes.
• Oversee SEND funding and high-needs processes.
• Lead staff training and promote inclusive practice.
• Monitor and improve SEND provision quality.
