Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Fast Fit Technician for a retail centre in Workington. You will carry out fast-fit work and light servicing, with on-the-job training provided by the client.

The role does not require prior qualifications, and progression through Level 3 IMI & Hybrid qualifications is offered. A strong team environment and company growth are highlighted as part of the package.

• Valid UK driving licence.
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed).
• Interest in Hybrid cars and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fast-fit duties: replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate wheel alignment machinery, read measurements and make precise adjustments.
• Perform tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements and repairs across various vehicle makes.
• Collaborate with workshop team to meet targets and service standards.

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Fast Fit Technician based at their retail centre in Workington.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Workington

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
