Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd represents a fast-fit automotive business based in Matlock seeking a Fast Fit Technician. No prior qualification is required; the company will support you through Level 3 IMI and Hybrid training. The role covers light and full-service work with a strong focus on fast-fit duties in a busy retail centre.

Location: Matlock. OTE: £3,600 (uncapped). Shift pattern is 08:30–17:30, Mon–Fri with Saturday rota 08:30–16:00.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician preferred but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Review work on customers' vehicles and complete fast-fit mechanical tasks.
• Perform fast-fit duties such as brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and tyre diagnostics.
• Operate wheel alignment machinery and interpret readings to ensure accurate adjustments.

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Fast Fit Technician based at their retail centre in Matlock.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Matlock

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
