Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is looking for a Fast Fit Technician for a busy automotive fast-fit centre in Ipswich. You’ll perform light and full-service work and fast-fit tasks such as brakes and exhausts, with on-site training provided.

No formal qualification is required, as the client will support your Level 3 IMI and Hybrid qualifications. Enjoy a competitive package with ongoing training and clear career progression within a growing network.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician is preferred but not required.
• No formal qualifications needed; employer will fund your Level 3 qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service vehicle work.
• Fast-fit duties: brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate precision wheel alignment equipment, interpret readings and adjust accordingly.
• Carry out tyre diagnostics and fast-fit replacements across various makes.
• Work with workshop team to achieve targets.

Our client who is one of the UK's fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Fast Fit Technician based at their retail centre in Ipswich.

As aVehicle Technicianyou would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location:Ipswich

Pay / salary: £29,500 - £32,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence - Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
