Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. seeks a Primary Teacher (Qualified or Unqualified) for an innovative AP farm setting in Clitheroe. The role targets KS1/KS2 pupils with SEMH needs and neurodiverse profiles, offering a hands-on, outdoor curriculum and animal-assisted learning.

The position is temp-to-perm with small classes and dedicated support staff. A QTS/QTLS or HLTA/instructor background is required or desirable, with safeguarding via Enhanced DBS and access to transport recommended.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent experience in primary teaching.
Experience with KS1/KS2 and SEMH/AP/SEND settings is desirable.
Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
Access to own transport is strongly recommended for rural location.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging primary lessons using farm environment for literacy, numeracy, science, and life skills.
Plan practical activities integrating outdoor learning and animal care.
Build trusting relationships with vulnerable children to support confidence in learning.
Manage small classes (4–6 pupils) with Learning Support Assistants.
Apply positive behaviour strategies and trauma-informed practices.
Transition from temp-to-perm into permanent staff.
