Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a resilient Primary Teacher for an immediate temp-to-perm position in Clitheroe, Lancashire. You will teach KS1/KS2 to learners with SEMH needs, in small classes with strong TA support, focusing on differentiated delivery and progress.

The role requires QTS/QTLS or equivalent, with experience in UK primary settings. Training in trauma-informed practice is beneficial, and a pro-rata salary is offered up to 33,000 GBP.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTlS or recognised equivalent primary teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching KS1/KS2 in UK mainstream primary/PRU/AP/SEN settings.
• Training in trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver primary lessons across the national curriculum.
• Foster a calm, trauma-informed classroom environment with positive behaviour support.
• Assess and monitor learning milestones and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, TAs, educational psychologists and parents.
• Create a structured space for pupils transitioning from mainstream education.
