Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Family Time Supervisor to support children in care by supervising contact sessions and maintaining detailed records for potential court proceedings. You will observe sessions across the Hampshire Southwest, prepare clear reports, and work with parents, social workers, foster carers, and children.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and families in need.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Excellent communication, listening and observation skills.
• Ability to build relationships with parents, carers and professionals.
• Good records management and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and facilitate contact sessions in various settings while ensuring child safety.
• Transport and intervene if contact is not in the child’s best interests.
• Prepare and document contacts within agreed timescales in line with policy and law.
• Build effective relationships with parents, social workers, foster carers and children.
• Collaborate within the team, attend meetings and follow Hampshire County Council policies.
