Hampshire County Council is hiring a Family Time Supervisor to support children in care and enable safe, meaningful family time across the Southwest Hampshire area. You will observe contact sessions, maintain records, and prepare reports that may be used in court proceedings.

You will travel between sites across Hampshire, work flexibly including two later evenings per week and one in four Saturdays, and contribute to safeguarding and effective collaboration with families and professionals.

Formación

• Proven experience working with children and families in need.
• Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent IT, verbal communication, listening and observation skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with children, carers and professionals.
• Capacity to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Be able to travel across Hampshire with a valid UK driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and facilitate contact sessions in various settings, ensuring child safety, providing transport, and intervening if contact becomes unsafe.
• Manage challenging situations, including stopping contact when it is not in the child’s best interest.
• Prepare for and document contacts accurately within agreed timescales, adhering to legal and policy requirements.
• Build effective relationships with parents, social workers, foster carers, and children, with safeguarding awareness and reporting concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team, attending meetings, training, and complying with Hampshire County Council policies.
