Overview

Working as a Family Support Worker is an exciting, rewarding role that delivers targeted support to vulnerable children and their families. The aim is to achieve better outcomes, reduce the need for higher level support, and minimise long‑term demand for services.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments and coordinate and deliver interventions using a solution‑focused approach.
  • Build supportive and empowering relationships with families.
  • Engage parents through creative and innovative strategies in line with partner agencies and organisations.
  • Deliver the best possible service to children and families.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children, young people, families, and communities.
  • Experience with multi‑agency assessments and plans is essential.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car are required.
  • Will be able to work some evenings and weekends.
