Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Family Support Worker for a specialist education setting supporting children with SEMH, ASC and related needs. The role links home and school, providing practical and emotional support to families and pupils.

You will work with safeguarding, pastoral and therapeutic teams, sometimes making home visits and attending meetings to promote positive outcomes and wellbeing.

Qualificações

• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Experience supporting SEMH, ASC or complex needs.
• Trauma-informed and relationship-based approaches.
• Excellent communication with calm and compassionate manner.
• Hold a relevant qualification or be willing to work towards one.
• Hold a full UK driving licence for outreach and home visits.

Responsabilidades

• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
• Provide early help and targeted family support interventions.
• Support children and families facing emotional, social and educational challenges.
• Develop and oversee support plans for pupils and families.
• Support pupils during transitions and emotional dysregulation.
• Work with safeguarding, therapy and pastoral teams.
• Liaise with external agencies and attend multi-agency meetings.
• Promote attendance, engagement and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain confidential records and signpost to services.
• Act as a positive role model and advocate for families.
