Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in SEMH schools, SEN provisions, youth work, care or support settings.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding.
• Ability to build positive relationships and be a role model.
• Resilient, patient and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• De-escalating challenging situations calmly.
• Building positive relationships with students needing support.
• Collaborating with staff to create a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Supporting students to achieve academic and personal goals.
