As a Support Worker/Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide individualised support to pupils and help them achieve their educational, social, emotional, and behavioural goals.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development.
Build positive, trusting, and professional relationships with children and young people.
Assist pupils to engage with learning and participate positively in school activities.
Implement individual support strategies and follow pupils' education and behaviour plans.
Support pupils who may demonstrate challenging or distressed behaviour using appropriate de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies.
Encourage independence, confidence, resilience, and positive social interaction.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff, families, and other professionals.
Maintain safeguarding standards and promote the welfare and safety of pupils.
