School-Home Support is seeking a Family Support Practitioner for St Paul’s Secondary School in Birmingham. The role focuses on casework to promote educational outcomes, improve attendance and engagement, and work closely with school staff to support children and their families on a term-time basis.

You will engage with parents and carers, apply safeguarding procedures, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment while building strong community links.

Competenze

• Experience in education settings or similar to improve attendance and engagement in learning.
• Experience engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support.
• Understanding factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn.
• Experience working with families from diverse communities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, safe environment.
