Job summary

School-Home Support is seeking a Family Support Practitioner to work at Woodlands Primary School in Sheffield, delivering casework to promote educational outcomes and improve attendance and engagement. You will collaborate with school staff and families to support children’s learning and wellbeing in a diverse community.

The role requires excellent relationship-building and safeguarding knowledge, with commitment to wellbeing and professional development within a supportive team and term-time

Qualifications

Experience in education settings to improve attendance and engagement.
Engagement with parents, carers, children or individuals through individual- and/or group-based support.
Understanding factors affecting a child's ability to learn and safeguarding processes.

Responsibilities

Based at the setting, work with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote educational outcomes.
Focus on improving attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of people and build strong relationships.
