About The Role

This role is subject to -
  • Car Documentation - This post is a designated Casual Car User. You must hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for work. You will receive the Casual Car User Allowance.
  • DBS clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointees will need to apply for an Enhanced DBS check. Information will be handled confidentially and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice. We have a policy on the Employment of Ex-Offenders, available upon request.
The role involves working as part of the Early Years Delivery Model team, supporting multi-agency collaboration and delivering interventions to families with children under 5 requiring support to improve developmental outcomes. Responsibilities include delivering interventions, supporting families, and coordinating services through Sure Start Children’s Centres.

About the Candidate

We seek enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals passionate about improving outcomes for children and families across Manchester. This is a time-limited role until 31st March 2026, as part of the Family Hub programme, specifically a Grade 5, Family Help Worker role. The role involves working within an integrated team across the Family Hub network, understanding wider children and families services, and supporting families to access appropriate services using a strength-based approach.
