Prospero Teaching is recruiting for an Outreach Worker in a lively and supportive SEN school in Hulme, Manchester. The role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues, including some SEN support and community engagement.
Responsibilities include taking attendance in the mornings, liaising with parents regarding absences, and providing community support by working with social services and other agencies to support young people.
You should be confident in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques to manage behaviour and facilitate engagement with the curriculum.
All students will have an education and health care plan (EHCP) which you will refer to.
You must drive and have access to your own car for this role and be willing to obtain business insurance on your vehicle.
