Job summary

Riverbank Academy in Coventry seeks a dedicated Family Engagement and Learning Support Assistant to bolster teaching staff and support learners aged 11–19. You will visit families, help with literacy and numeracy development, and assist with in-class activities.

The role is permanent, part-time (22.5 hrs/week) with term-time schedules plus 5 days. Training and progression opportunities are available within the academy.

Qualifications

• Desire to continue improving literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
• Grade C or above in English and Maths; A-levels desirable.
• Experience in supporting learners aged 11–19 with SEND needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled home visits to build positive relationships with families and identify support needs.
• Provide structured guidance to develop students' academic and personal needs.
• Support teachers and delivery practitioners in class.
• Assist with lunchtime supervision and after-school/break duties.
• Support tutorial programs as a co-tutor.
