Vita Group in Lewisham is seeking a Facilities Assistant to maintain a student residence, performing hands-on tasks from fixing showers to lighting and doors. You will move around the building with a tool bag, respond to tickets, and ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the day.

The role is Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm, 42.5 hours per week, with a base salary of £30,000 plus an annual bonus and benefits. Full training provided.

Formación

• Some hands-on experience in handyperson or maintenance roles.
• Able to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet to pick up and update jobs.
• Willing to learn and follow health and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Walk the building with the site management team and identify issues in communal spaces.
• Check plant room daily for leaks and report problems.
• Inspect the Building Management System (BMS) and flag needs for engineers.
• Carry out weekly and monthly safety checks and document results.
• Handle student tickets and progress them daily to close on time.
• Perform inside and outside upkeep, painting, cleaning, grounds maintenance.
