Vita Student is seeking a Facilities Assistant in Newcastle to provide practical maintenance across a single building and resident spaces. You will move around the building with a tool bag, addressing showers, lighting, doors and appliances as issues arise, and recording progress in our ticketing system.

Day-to-day duties include safety checks, plant room/watch monitoring, and liaising with site management to keep everything running smoothly for residents and staff.

Competenze

• Hands-on maintenance experience or trade course
• Willingness to use basic hand and power tools safely
• Comfort using a smartphone/tablet to update jobs and tickets
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures

Mansioni

• Carry out everyday maintenance tasks in studios and communal areas
• Inspect and fix showers, lighting, doors, appliances and fittings
• Conduct weekly and monthly safety checks and log results
• Respond to student tickets and close tasks when completed
