Job summary

Vita Student in Coventry is seeking a proactive Facilities Assistant to help maintain our student residences. This on-site, hands-on role involves moving around the building with a tool bag to tackle everyday fixes and upkeep, ensuring residents have a comfortable home.

You will perform daily building walks, safety checks, and ticket-driven tasks, while assisting with various upkeep duties. The role is Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in maintenance or caretaking roles.
• Comfort with basic hand and power tools.
• Willingness to follow health and safety procedures.
• Good time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance around the building.
• Respond to student tickets and complete tasks from tickets.
• Carry out safety checks and basic building checks.
• Maintain cleanliness of shared spaces and outdoor areas.
