Job summary

Vita Student Lewisham is seeking a proactive Facilities Assistant to keep communal spaces and studios in top condition. You’ll perform hands-on maintenance, fix everyday issues, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the building, with a focus on timely ticket resolution and resident satisfaction.

Working Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, you’ll be on the move around the property with a toolkit in hand, supported by comprehensive training and an annual bonus program.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in maintenance or caretaking.
• Willing to use basic hand tools safely.
• Comfort with smartphone/tablet for ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily repairs and maintenance around the building.
• Replace lightbulbs and fix minor electrical issues.
• Repair or replace broken furniture and fixtures.
• Paint and refresh walls, doors and surfaces.
• Conduct weekly safety checks and log results.
• Respond to student tickets and close tasks on completion.
