Job summary

Sodexo Group in Sudbury is seeking a General Services Manager to lead integrated facilities management across the site, overseeing a multi-service operation and a team of professionals.

You will drive service standards, manage budgets, ensure health and safety compliance, and build strong client relationships while delivering outstanding experiences for clients, customers and colleagues. This is a Monday-Friday, full-time role with development opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Management experience in facilities management, hospitality, catering or multi-service operations.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop large teams.
• Strong financial awareness with budgeting experience.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for service.
• Experience managing compliance, health and safety, audits and quality standards.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple services.
• Proactive, solutions-focused with decisive problem solving.
• MS Office and operations systems proficiency.
• IOSH qualification and Food Safety Level 3 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of integrated facilities management services across the site.
• Inspire, develop and support a diverse, high-performing team.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Drive operational excellence across catering, cleaning, security, and workplace services.
• Take ownership of budgets, costs and profitability improvements.
• Champion health, safety, food safety and compliance.
• Monitor service performance via audits, KPIs and feedback.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and strengthen client partnerships.
• Work with department managers to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
