Job summary

High Life Highland is seeking a proactive Centre Manager to lead Sunart Community Centre. You will oversee operations, safety, customer service and community engagement, ensuring high standards of service delivery and efficient use of resources.

You will manage staff rotas including evenings and weekends, promote community programmes, and work with partners to enhance facilities and services while upholding the charity’s values and environmental commitments.

Responsibilities

• Promote and deliver facilities, programmes and services to meet community needs.
• Oversee daily centre operations and keep facilities tidy and safe.
• Ensure security procedures as key holder, including opening/closing.
• Implement and monitor health and safety systems (NOP, EAP, COSHH).
• Conduct regular checks of facilities and report risks promptly.
• Line manage the Community Venues team and staff deployment.
• Support recruitment, induction and ongoing training.
• Maintain high customer care standards and responsive service.
• Administer booking systems and reporting of performance stats.
• Develop improvements, engage with stakeholders and communities.
• Promote events and marketing via social media; build partnerships.
• Work varied rota including evenings and weekends.
• Continually pursue CPD and environmental sustainability in duties.
