Job summary

High Life Highland seeks an experienced community venues manager to lead the Sunart Community Centre operations. You will oversee daily site management, ensure safety, and drive customer-focused services across facilities, programmes and events.

You will line manage the Community Venues team, coordinate staffing, and support recruitment, induction and training while promoting activities and engaging with customers and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Experience in line managing teams and coordinating operations.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance and safeguarding.
• Experience with budgeting, financial controls and reporting.
• Excellent customer service and community engagement skills.
• Ability to recruit, induct and develop staff, and manage disciplinary processes.

Responsibilities

• Line manage Community Venues team and optimise staffing.
• Oversee daily operation of the centre and associated facilities.
• Maintain high standards of performance, presentation and cleanliness.
• Act as key holder, implementing security procedures including out-of-hours calls.
• Support recruitment, induction, training and development.
• Promote activities and engage with customers and the wider community.
• Monitor budgets, controls and reporting; administer activity bookings.
• Support continuous improvement of facilities and services.
