Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an on-site role in Reading, GBR. You will maintain HVAC systems, pumps and motors, perform preventative maintenance, and respond promptly to faults to ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in facilities management or property services.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps and motors.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and conducting preventive maintenance.
Excellent problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment (HVAC, pumps, motors).
Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Respond to faults and emergencies to minimise disruption.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools.
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers for timely resolutions.
Maintain records of maintenance work orders and equipment data.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices.
