Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support on-site maintenance of HVAC systems, pumps and motors in Reading. You will perform routine tasks, conduct preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and coordinate with teams to ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering within facilities management or property services.
• Knowledge of HVAC, pumps, motors and related controls.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults with planned preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance for reliability and efficiency.
• Respond to faults, breakdowns and emergencies to minimise disruption.
• Diagnose issues and determine repairs with appropriate tools.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers for timely resolutions.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and documentation.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Stay updated on industry trends and apply best practices.
