Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to carry out routine maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, motors and other mechanical assets at our Reading site. The role involves planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and timely coordination with internal teams and suppliers to minimize downtime.

You will maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, and stay informed on industry trends to continuously improve maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Engineer in facilities or property services.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems incl. HVAC, pumps, motors.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults; perform preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
• Excellent communication with clients and subcontractors.
• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering; knowledge of health and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems and equipment (HVAC, pumps, motors).
• Conduct planned preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Respond to faults, breakdowns and emergencies with minimal disruption.
