Job summary

JLL in West London is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the workplace management team at a prestigious event and commercial destination. You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and other mechanical assets, and conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.

You will diagnose faults, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and maintain thorough records while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, motors, and controls.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and subcontractors.
• Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Willingness to work shifts and participate in an on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, pumps, motors and other mechanical assets.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Respond to mechanical faults and emergency situations to minimize disruption.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine repair actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers for timely resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment data.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to improve maintenance processes.
