Job summary

GPW Recruitment seeks an Assistant Facilities Manager for a busy manufacturing site in Lathom, West Lancashire. The role involves supporting facilities, maintenance, and project delivery while coordinating contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will work closely with the Facilities Manager to manage day-to-day site facilities, maintenance programs and improvement projects in a busy operational environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Experience coordinating contractors and external suppliers.
• Experience supporting maintenance programmes, projects or site improvements.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement routine and preventative maintenance activities.
• Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day management of site facilities.
• Coordinate and communicate with internal departments and contractors.
• Liaise with permanent and temporary contractors to ensure work is delivered effectively.
• Support the successful delivery of site projects.
• Ensure facilities and maintenance activities comply with relevant legislation and site requirements.
• Update and maintain site drawings and technical documentation.
• Prioritise maintenance and facilities workloads according to operational requirements.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
• Assist with site inspections and maintain appropriate records.
• Identify opportunities to improve site facilities, maintenance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to facilities and maintenance activities.
